Perseus Training

This course provide an overview of responding to illicit drug laboratories or responsible for the health and safety of individuals involved in responding to illicit drug labs. This course is run jointly by Perseus Training and NES. NES is one of the world's leading training authorities in training emergency responders and law enforcement on the safe and responsible response to illicit drug labs and cannabis grow houses. NES developed and has delivered U.S. DEA's Clandestine Laboratory Training program since 1988 and has trained thousands of law enforcement personnel from around the world, including many from the United Kingdom and Europe.

Objectives

This Operational course will include

• Illicit drug lab identification and toxicology
• Illicit drug lab manufacturing techniques
• Hazards associated with illicit drug  labs including chemical and physical hazards, air monitoring, site emergencies
• Basic toxicology of hazardous materials, chemical and physical hazards
• Illicit drug labs for responders including decontamination, site control, use of protective equipment
