Illicit Drug Lab Awareness
Overview
This course provides awareness and hazards recognition training for anyone who may knowingly enter an illicit drug lab (IDL or clanlab) or accidentally stumbles across a lab operation. This course is run jointly by Perseus Training and NES. NES is one of the world's leading training authorities in training emergency responders and law enforcement on the safe and responsible response to illicit drug labs and cannabis grow houses. NES developed and has delivered U.S. DEA's Clandestine Laboratory Training program since 1988 and has trained thousands of law enforcement personnel from around the world, including many from the United Kingdom and Europe.

Objectives
This Awareness course will include- Overview of illicit drug lab operations
- Identification of key indicators of an illicit drug laboratory
- Basic safety awareness including:
- chemical hazards
- physical hazards
- risk posed by lab "cooks" and users
Who Should Attend?
Emergency First Responders, Social Services, Environmental Health Officers, Enforcement Officers, Public Utilities Workers, Building Officials and those who may be working in environments contaminated by Illicit Drug Labs.
